Sussex County is a county located in the southern part of the U.S. state of Delaware, on the Delmarva Peninsula. As of the 2010 census, the population was 197,145, and the county seat is Georgetown.
The county has a total area of 1,196 square miles, of which 936 square miles is land and 260 square miles (21.7%) is water.
